On September 28, 2006, the Provincial Government of British Columbia announced the beginning of "Conversation on Health," a year-long study asking British Columbians to become involved and comment on how the health-care system could be improved. Health Action Network Society (HANS) stepped up to the plate with the HANS Conversation on Health. On March 29, 2007, HANS hosted a special event for its members and guests featuring renowned speakers Rafe Mair, former BC Health Minister and member of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' Hall of Fame, along with Don Nixdorf, DC, executive director of the BC Chiropractic Association and co-author of the book "Squandering Billions: Health Care in Canada." With Rafe Mair and Don Nixdorf, DC leading the way, the HANS Conversation on Health is an important insight into what changes British Columbians wish for their health care system. A copy of this DVD was sent to the Government of British Columbia.
