A new intake has been approved for participants in an environmental illness study. Those accepted into this guided self-help program will include those with the following illnesses:
- Autism
- Electro-Hypersensitivity (EHS)
- Multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS)
- Attention-deficit conditions
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Anxiety disorders
- Sleep problems
This work is being conducted under the auspices of the non-profit Science and Public Policy Institute, Comparative Effectiveness Research Program, based in Washington, D.C., the Health Sciences Consortium, based in Washington, D.C, the Institute for Healthful Adaptation, based in Washington, D.C. and the Health Action Network Society, based in British Columbia, Canada. The principal investigator for this study is Dr. George L. Carlo.
Research assistants and guides, who will be identified to you through the course of the study as you encounter them, will carry out all major tasks in the work. The study design has been peer-reviewed and approved by the SPPI internal Institutional Review Board. Costs covered by the participants are $1,800 for this 18-month program.
