Gongmaster Don Conreaux Workshops and Concerts

Grand Gongmaster Don Conreaux returns to Vancouver September 16 to 18, 2011, for a series of workshops and concerts hosted along with Harmony of the Spheres.

For the past 40 years, Grand Gongmaster Don Conreaux has brought the mystical and entertaining sounds of the ancient bronze gong to millions of listeners around the world.

Don is recognized as a leading artist and musician as well as a pioneer in the field of holistic sound healing with the gong.

Creator of the teachings on The Way of the Gong, the Gong Bath and International Gong Master Training, Don also originated Starhenge World Peace Bell Gardens.

Don is formerly known as Baba Don and Guru Jagat and was one of the five original Kundalini Yoga Teachers designated by Yogi Bhajan in 1969. A recognized master teacher in the art and science of the gong, Don also studied the gong writings of Dane Rudhyar, one of the twentieth century's great humanistic astrologers.

Don has produced students of the gong in many countries of the world including Croatia, Australia, England and Brazil. He also holds trainings internationally and conducts his Mysterious Tremendum Gong Consort and Sacred Tone Ensemble.

The existence of the gong dates back to the Bronze Age, around 3500 BC and has been used for thousands of years in meditation, healing, ceremony and rituals.

According to Don, "gong therapy is bathing in total sound. The sound erases all other sounds around you and you are just in this ocean of rolling waves and layers of tones.

"The tones go right through the body. They affect you on a mental level, an emotional level, a spiritual level, and they cleanse you as they form a purification, which just washes away any worries or cares, and often obstacles that stand in your way of clarity and creativity."

Harmony of the Spheres is an ensemble of sound practitioners who are passionate about harnessing the healing power of sound to restore harmony and balance to body, mind and spirit. http://www.harmonyofthespheres.net/>
