Bill C-51 has become a catalyst for change and dialogue in natural healing arenas. In Penticton, our first rally was held on May 8th in front of the local Member of Parliament's office.

A delegation of rally participants visited with Doug Sharpe, Stockwell Day's assistant, at the MP's office to discuss their concerns and their interest in protecting access to natural health products.

At this first rally, Bill C-51 was at its second reading stage and at time of print, it still is. It was decided by the Penticton participants to have weekly rallies to demonstrate the unfair regulatory treatment of natural health products and also to bring awareness to healing and the individual's right to self-care.

The Penticton rallies continue Fridays, from 12 to 1 pm at Nanaimo Square.

Each week photos, recent letters, news stories and opinions are sent to an expanding e-mail list. Individuals come when they can and the regulars bring supplies, information handouts and newsletters. There are great healing stories surfacing--stories about being left for dead by the medical establishment and then coming back to life with healing remedies.

Individuals who focus on prevention are gaining momentum, change is in the wind and it is about time that Canadians preserve one of the most valuable assets we have--our rights to natural healing!
