December 7, 2010, in the House of Commons, MPs voted in favour of a motion to ban oil tankers on BC's north coast. The motion called on the government to immediately propose legislation to ban bulk oil tanker traffic in the Dixon Entrance, Hecate Strait and Queen Charlotte Sound. Let's keep the pressure on MPs to take action on this issue. Legislated tanker ban, here we come!
