HANS Fundraising Update - I Feel Inspired, How About You?

As you will remember if you have been part of our recent mailing to members, we want to hear from you by the end of December so the Executive Committee can begin to make decisions and plans for the future of HANS. We need to hear from others about the value of this work...

I am so very pleased that some of you have taken this task seriously, and aren't letting us down, in your responses. Every comment and idea is being written down. Some of them are truly inspired. Every renewal, and additional donation if possible, is cherished.

I just got off the phone with a member who introduced herself and said that she had always wanted to talk to me but never quite got around to it. She has been a monthly contributor since 1986, when her mother introduced her to HANS, and she feels like we're family, even though we've never met. What a treat for me to be able to hear how much HANS has meant to her and her family. To hear how she always felt that HANS deserved a lion's share of the credit for behind the scenes stimulating the status of natural medicine to what it is today. To hear how HANS is an organization that has always been way to modest for its own good, and how this member is going to go to each and every practitioner in her geographical area and insist that they become Professional Members.

Wowsa. That was one charged call, and I feel about three feet off the ground.

You, me, every supporter out there--we simply must give this everything we've got. Now. This month. If we can do that, then next month, we can say ... we're here to stay, and just you watch this organization launch itself into 2010. Olympic strength!

If you have thought about becoming a member and haven't, please don't put this off, and join today.  If you have thought about renewing your membership and still want to, you can do this at www.hans.org.  If you have connections to others who value this kind of work, and who might support, please take the time to do this.

Appreciation to you all!
