Taking your car to the car wash is a more environmentally friendly choice than washing it at home in the driveway.

A car wash has better water efficiency and proper toxin and detergent run-off. If you do wash your car at home, wash it on gravel or grass, use a water-saving nozzle on your hose or collected rain water, use biodegradable soap, and if possible dump your wash bucket water in the toilet or sink instead of down the storm sewer.
