Story of Healing: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Source: Health Action Magazine Fall 2008
From carrying heavy plates as a restaurant server, my wrists gradually became weaker and weaker. Soon I could barely carry a teacup and saucer. A few co-workers had already had surgery for their carpal tunnel syndrome and I wanted to avoid that route.
A fellow HANS member suggested acupuncture. Sure enough, it worked! I saw an acupuncturist three times and have been without pain for over five years. She also taught me to build my wrist strength and helped me realize when I was overdoing it.
