On March 30th, 2008, HANS sponsored "Cancer-Natural Approaches for Prevention and Healing" in North Vancouver, BC. This one-day conference was a wonderful success, and we have most of the presentations on DVD for those who could not attend. It feels very good to know that so many guests were inspired and empowered by the lectures.

Mae Burrows, executive director of Toxic-free Canada! spoke about how to avoid carcinogenic compounds in everyday products.

Sally Errey, RNCP, RHN, author of Staying Alive! Cookbook for Cancerfree Living, provided practical nutritional tips for the audience.

Danny Burke, PhD, talked about the latest Salvestrol supplement research and its applications in cancer.

A very touching presentation was given by Dr. Heather Fay about her personal experience with cancer, hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Technique.

Dr. Danny Jui, a naturopathic physician, shared insights about integrating evidence-based natural medicine into cancer care.

Each presentation was excellent, but the one that resonated most with me personally was by Dr. Lee Pulos, who talked about how energy and belief are vital to good health. I had been feeling anxious knowing that I'll be returning to England this summer to take care of my elderly mother. The decision to take a sabbatical from HANS, if only for a few months, wasn't an easy one. Dr. Pulos's message of faith resonated with me and I walked out of the theatre much more at peace than when I had first sat down.

We are so grateful for everyone's help in making March 30th a day that touched many lives. In particular, we thank our speakers who kindly donated their time.
