Can you tell me about yourself?
I've been involved in holistic health for more 20 years. I specialize in women's health. I also work with their families.

What's your healing philosophy?
I work with people and their food. I really believe that whole organic foods help heal the body. Locally grown seasonal foods are the best. In June, seasonal fruits would be strawberries and blueberries. Vegetables like lettuce, radishes, beets, new potatoes and spinach. Later in the summer we get into many more garden vegetables including carrots and Swiss chard. Did you know that kale contains bioflavonoids that protect against cancer? You can steam it. Also eat it raw and it tastes good if you break it up in small pieces. The best crop of kale comes into season in the winter. To spice it up a bit, I use Bragg's Liquid Amino Acids, which is a healthy liquid soy sauce. There are other holistic seasonings available....Add your favorite fresh herbs and equal portions of cold pressed olive oil, along with apple cider vinegar.

What's your favorite hobby?
I'm an outdoors person. I like to hike, bike, power walk, rollerblade and sail.  I'm training to go to Peru to hike the Machu Picchu trail. It's an ancient place that the Incas built. It's very rugged in terms of terrain and is supposed to be very spiritual. Because it's rugged, the people I'm going with who live here in White Rock walk up the famous Oxford Street hill to train.

If you were an animal, what would you be?
A dog, because of all their unconditional love. I'm nuts about pets!

What's something you would like people to know about you?
I personalize a food program depending on where a person has imbalances in their system. Each person has a unique plan because each person's body is totally unique. It's really important to eat specific foods for specific problems. I use A computerized system called the Meridian Stress Assessment System to help analyze hormone imbalances, heavy metal toxicity and parasites.

What's one question that you wished people asked more often?
I would love people to find out about what the side-effects could be before they start taking any medications.
