Can you tell me about yourself?
I received my degree from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Arizona. I also have an undergraduate degree in kinesiology from Simon Fraser University.

I have a family practice where I treat men, children and women. The treatment modalities I use range from nutritional counseling and supplement counseling to intravenous vitamin therapy, acupuncture, acute homeopathics and mesotherapy.

What's your healing philosophy?
My healing philosophy is to find and treat the root cause of the illness or disease in the body. This, in turn, will stimulate the body's ability to heal itself.

For example, a common complaint is digestive disturbances that produce symptoms of gas, flatulence, bloating and/or acid reflex. The underlying cause for this is related to food sensitivities, low hydrochloric acid secreted by the body, low secretion of digestive enzymes by the body, and stress. All of these will lead to aggravation of the lining of the digestive tract. Therefore, my treatment would include taking patients off the aggravating foods and using supplements to help digestion and healing of the lining of the digestive tract. Eventually, as the lining begins to heal, the symptoms disappear.

I've had a lot of success in treating patients with digestive disturbances. I've been able to get patients off of long term prescription medicines or over- the-counter medicines for these digestive issues.

My healing philosophy also involves empowering individuals to take control of their health by educating them, which will lead them down a path to optimal health.

What's your favorite hobby?
Reading, walking, boating. I read a lot of health books, as well as fictional novels. I just read a great fictional book called "A Fine Balance" by Rohinton Mistry about life in India and differences in the class systems.

If you were an animal, what would you be? Why?
A dolphin, because I love the water. Dolphins are also friendly and people oriented.
