Many of you will remember HANS member Monty Ritchings from different HANS events over the years. Monty has always been passionate about personal growth and self-development, and he has now authored a book that helps the reader understand the blend of personal history that makes up their unique persona, but also how an understanding of that can precipitate the beneficial power changes we all seek for our lives.
According to Monty, too many people live at the surface of their lives, never daring to step into that great pool of unlimited power known as the psyche. Before long, this life has slipped by without awakening their sleeping giant. For what other reason could we possibly live?
"From one generation to another, we have continually repeated the same beliefs to no successful conclusion," says Monte. " 'Embracing the Blend' " helps you stop … and change the continual flow of habitual actions and empower you to make choice. The book focuses on eliminating the root causes of our current dysfunctional beliefs, rather than burying them under a myriad of affirmations and other positive living tools."
Ritchings uses the analogy of a car's gas tank. If it were filled with water, would you put gas into the tank right away or would you drain the water out first, then fill it up? Clearing our mind of beliefs and habits that do not serve you well is much like the water in the gas tank. The first step in making room for new thoughts and beliefs is to get rid of the water. In this case, it means disengaging yourself from the past, then the magic can really begin.
"Embracing the Blend" is available from the HANS Office at (604) 435-0512. The cost is $19.95 (Cdn).
