Hello HANS Members and Friends;

Last September, HANS hosted a lecture with United Kingdom cancer researcher Dr Gerry Potter concerning the discovery of a unique enzyme (CYP1B1) in cancer cells. Very recently, on March 15th, we were fortunate to have Dr Dan Burke continue the story of salvestrols, the natural compounds in food which destroy the CYP1B1 and subsequently, cancer cells.

There’s more to this fascinating story.

Just recently, we became aware that Anthony Daniels, a recognized authority in the UK herbal industry, will be visiting Vancouver. We invited him to give a lecture on April 27th.

An associate of Drs Potter and Burke, Daniels will be talking about the discoveries he made on banana plantations. Here’s the thing. He’s going to set up an experiment during this lecture to SHOW us what happens to organic, salvestrol-rich food when it’s processed. He will also be discussing what growers in other parts of the world are doing to solve this problem, and to re-cultivate the cancer-preventing goodness in their produce.

This will be of interest to ANYONE who has a garden, organic growers, cancer patients, and HANS members who are interested in protecting themselves and their loved ones with helpful information. Please mark your calendars and join us in welcoming Anthony Daniels to the West Coast.

There is a pre-registration discount. You can register online at www.hans.org OR call the office 604-435-0512, and pay by Visa or Mastercard. Hope to see you there!

2) ISSUE UPDATES

Canada Needs a National Water Policy

Water is vital to people’s health and livelihoods. In Canada, there is no national strategy to address urgent water issues and no federal leadership to conserve and protect our water. The Federal Water Policy is over 20 years old and badly outdated. There is a growing list of crises facing our freshwater including contamination, shortages and pressure to export water to the United States through pipelines and diversions. It is time for the Government of Canada to implement a comprehensive National Water Policy.

Go Clean and Green Energy in Ontario
Ontario has reached a major energy crossroads. With the phase-out of our dirty coal plants and an aging fleet of under-performing nuclear stations, the province must soon decide how to best meet future electricity needs. It can stick with the tried-and-failed approach of relying on a handful of large, expensive nuclear stations, as the Ontario Power Authority is recommending, or it can head down a new path toward a more flexible and efficient system that emphasizes clean, renewable power sources, conservation and efficiency and maximizing the value of every kilowatt we use. Now is the time to let Premier McGuinty and the Government of Ontario know which approach you favour.

Discover a new understanding of disease. In 1981, German medical doctor Ryke Geerd Hamer found that every disease is the result of unexpected emotional stress. This stress not only occurs in the PSYCHE, but at the same time in the BRAIN (visible on a brain CT) and in the corresponding ORGAN.

From more than 40,000 case studies, Dr Hamer was able to identify what type of conflicts cause what type of symptoms. He established that what we commonly call a “disease” is not caused by a malfunctioning organism but is rather a natural meaningful biological survival program that has been successfully practiced for millions of years of evolution.
