Celiac disease, or gluten intolerance, is the least known auto-immune disease affecting an estimated 1/133 Canadians. Celiacs react adversely to proteins in wheat, rye and barley. Classic symptons include gastrointestinal distress, diarrhea and associated conditions such as chronic fatigue, anemia, depression, irritability, infertility, joint pain and swelling.
Our Association's mission is to increase awareness to consumers and the medical community, support food labelling laws, and lobby government for funding for research and tax breaks.

The ACIPBC is open to medical doctors with expertise or interest in complementary and integrative medicine. The objectives are to:

• Evaluate developments in complementary and integrative health care
• Support complementary and integrative physicians; promote safe patient care, continuity of care, doctor-patient rapport, appropriate referrals and consultations
• Promote communication and cooperation between physicians both conventional and complementary
• Advocate professional development, education/research in complementary health care
• Provide, expert advice and assistance to health care organizations, information and education for the public, health care professionals, medical students and physicians
• Establish liaison with other medical agencies and institutions

Therapeutic Touch™ is a safe, gentle, non-invasive healing practice. It is based on a contemporary interpretation of ancient healing practices. It was developed in the 1970\'s by Dolores Krieger, PhD, RN, a Professor of Nursing and her mentor Dora Kunz, a renowned intuitive healer.
BCTTN is a non-profit organization that promotes Therapeutic Touch, supports it\'s members and sets the standards for the practice & teaching of TT in BC. The network offers accreditation, conferences, courses, practice groups and a quarterly newsletter.

The Natural Health Products Protection Association (NHPPA) is a federally incorporated, non-profit organization devoted to protecting Canadians' access to natural health products. The Association lobbies government, publishes information and advises the public. Its experts support natural health stakeholders as changing legislation impacts their livelihoods. The NHPPA is solely supported by concerned natural health products manufacturers, retailers and public advocates, individuals who believe we should not have to compromise freedom for safety.
