Celiac disease, or gluten intolerance, is the least known auto-immune disease affecting an estimated 1/133 Canadians. Celiacs react adversely to proteins in wheat, rye and barley. Classic symptons include gastrointestinal distress, diarrhea and associated conditions such as chronic fatigue, anemia, depression, irritability, infertility, joint pain and swelling.
Our Association's mission is to increase awareness to consumers and the medical community, support food labelling laws, and lobby government for funding for research and tax breaks.

The ACIPBC is open to medical doctors with expertise or interest in complementary and integrative medicine. The objectives are to:
  • Evaluate developments in complementary and integrative health care

  • Promote communication and cooperation between physicians both conventional and complementary
  • Advocate professional development, education/research in complementary health care

BCTTN is a non-profit organization that promotes Therapeutic Touch, supports it\'s members and sets the standards for the practice & teaching of TT in BC. The network offers accreditation, conferences, courses, practice groups and a quarterly newsletter.
