Lorne is a registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine practicing in Vancouver, B.C. Lorne is the clinical director of Acubalance Wellness Centre, a traditional Chinese medical clinic. Lorne has focused his practice on treating infertility (including IVF support).

Lorne is the Chair of the membership committee of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of BC (TCMABC). He is also a co-investigator on a study for maternal acupuncture for chemically independent pregnant women undergoing at BC Women's Hospital between January 2004 and 2006. He sits on the University of British Columbia Research Ethics Board (CREB) as their natural product's expert.

Following one of the basic tenets of TCM - "treat the root-cause rather than the branch-symptoms", Lorne sees the responsibility of the practitioner as identifying the root cause of imbalance, and then addressing it in a context that is conducive to the restoration of each individual's proper balance. Lorne's unique treatment philosophy is that no single healing modality successfully treats all conditions or pathologies exclusively for all clients. To successfully facilitate this approach, Lorne has established an extensive network of practitioners with specialties in diverse medical fields and disciplines to provide complete care to his clients, whatever their individual requirements may be.
